It looks like your vac lines are on backwards. The vac line on the left is the one that should go to the charcoal cannister. I justreplaced mine becausemy line was shot. Not sure if it makes a difference though.

EGR is a common debate whether to remove it or not, well in reality, you may notice a slight gain from removing it, but nothing extravagent. The recirculation reduces cylinder temp (slight loss of power, as long as it doesn't detonate) and allows for less fresh air into the engine (another loss of power). Unless you feel like properly tuning the car though (as in an actual dynotune, chip or tweecer), leave it on.

If that's the hose as everybody is saying for the charcoal canister (haven't looked at the pictures) you can leave it capped, and remove the canister. Once again, no power loss or gain from this, just a less cluttered compartement.

So,
-plug the vac line comming from intake going to charcoal canistier AND
-plug the vapor/fume line comming from the gas tank
-take off charcoal canister

correct right?

just want to make sure I'm doing the right stuff

i dont think you want to cap the vent line, i know when i took my canister out i just snipped the line and let it vent out through the hose, if you cap it the tank cant vent

If you cap the line from the tank to the evap canister.....you need to install a vented gas cap or when it gets really hot in the summer and the road heat radiates up from the road onto the gas tank....you could have a recipe for a disaster...as gas vapors are heated they expand..and given the right temp and length of time sitting in a parking lot in the hot summer heat.. I'd reccommend a vented gas cap or leaving line from tank to canister in place..just remove the purge valve and run the line directly to the canister... this was at least the vapors go into something..and or can freely leave rather than build up pressure
