when i rebuilt my 87 lx i found a 79 351w reman for 500$ i dropped 3500 into it for the rebuild and now i have a 440 hp n/a monster
you dont have to buy brand new my 351w was out a galaxy so i know it is tuff, i put the lifter retainers in from my 302 now it is roller {the block just needed 4 tapped bolt holes for the lifter retainers}
