I have an '89 lx w/ a 302, 40 over w/ trw forged pistons, eagle forged rods, ford racing crank, ford racing e303 cam, trick flow twisted wedge heads, trick flow upper & lower intake, bbk 65mm spacer w/ bbk 65mm throttle body and a cold air intake, it also haves a msd 6al box, msd blaster coil, msd distributor and a superchip, 24lbs injectors and 1 5/8 mac shorty headers, It runs terribly, cold start are hard it stall and conks out. When it is running it pops out of the intake, and the power seems to come and go any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

is the maf calibrated for the 24's?(if it isnt it wont run right.
superchip?<<--is this a custom tune or is it "put this in and get 15hp?" take that out and try and get it running.

I had the idle surge and hard starts I tried bumping up the fuel pressure and moving the timing around nothing worked until I opened up the the throttlebody a little and then readjusted the TPS now it idles fine and no more surging I read on a webpage that at the factory setting the throttlebody isnt open enough for built up engines to let enough air in to keep the car running at idle it worked for me maybe it will work for you good luck.

The MAF has to be calibrated for 24lb injectors.

The MAF HAS TO BE mounted vertical, not sideways.

The superchip SHOULD BE THROWN AWAY, if its not custom, why? well its strategie is for a stock setup and injectors etc.Id still throw it away, they are junk.
