no no, under the hood. You should have some leaving the selenoid. My 87 has 4 or 5, I would just get a wireing diagram and a meter if I was you, find which wire is your power source and where it comes from and start from there. Good Luck man, electrical can be a pain, just be patient.

ive replaced the fuses there too, the ones that are close to the battery right? i fried the system when the cable grounded out and everything went up in smoke. its just a matter of finding everything. nothing on the inside works anymore, only one of the windows and that is it.

Yep those are the ones I'm talking about, should be right around the stock selenoid. One window huh, atleast you got one...lol, I feel for ya dude, Just take it in steps. Is this your daily driver, I'm hoping this is a hobby car?

Do you have a electrical diagram? Some guys on here hooked me up for my 87 you might ask around

If it has a alot of miles on it your piston rings could be loose, causing the smoking problem. On your wiring check all grounds.

yes this is my DD. the reason i just bough this car is b/c my 500+ HP ls1 camaro doesnt get that good of gas milage and i figured this would be alot better on gas but so far doesnt look like it. all the grounds are brand new, i just redid all the wiring positive and negetaive cables. all fuses replaced, new dimmer switch wiring, new alternator and the list goes on. it has made progress but is far from a joy to drive. oh yea and did i mention the car only has a ignition key so i cannot get into the trunk which means i cant replace my rear lights that are out.
