Default Off set rack bushings or not

Replacing the power rack & pinion and have differing opinions on whether to use off set bushings or. I have the Ford Racing B springs(Lowered .75" front & .5" rear) on the car. Replacing rack, tie rods and bushings. Search online has people saying that they do & don't help. Curious if anyone is runningsomething similiar. 1988 Convertible 5.0. Thanks

if your car is lowered it'd help out with the geometry better to get the tir rod assembly back at the right angle

So the rack/tie rod should be level with the ground?

not so much level but when you lower the car it forces the tie rods to angle up in the air....getting it as close to level as possible would be ideal

The install manual for my MM bumpsteer kit said you want the rod parallel with the control arm

Correct. You want the tie rod end to be parallel with the control arm.

Offset rack bushings can actually cause bumpsteer, rather than prevent it.
