Default gauges mileage

Ive been searching but cant find anything on this.I have the 85 mpg gauges so I bought a set of 140 mph gauges for my car.My miles read 88k but the gauges I bought read 22k I dont think there is but is there any way that The new gauges I got that read 22k can I switch them to 88k the real miles of my car?probably a dumb question haha.Thanks

there are places that repair speedometers and such and if you send them the cluster they can perform the correction but you may have to send the old one too for verification

^^^ probobly the easiest way. If you wanna do it the long way you can hook up a drill to the stud sticking out of the back of the guages and start rolling the miles over, but like i said it takes a long @$$ time

On the same subject - if you do this should you still contact the DMV and/or the insurance company to let them know of the changes? Or can you leave it and just not say anything since the mileage is actually the same?

you'd better have a high speed drill cause it'd take a long time... duck tape the drill trigger wide open!!!
