Default Power Steering Install ?'s

How hard is it to install powersteering on a 87 GT mustang? Any idea of how much this would cost? Also a list of parts needed to do it? Thanks!

Very simple. . just grab the power rack and its tie rod ends, the steering shaft, P/S pump, pulley and bracket, and all the lines for a P/S car and put them on yours. Then run the appropiate belt and you are done.

You could have it done in a couple hours.

Hello, You got me stumped on that one, I thought in 1987 P/S was a standard option.

Judging by the pics his car has been converted. But yes, 87 GT's were standard with P/S. P/S delete was a difficult option and only dealer installed if memory serves.

Price - what rack do you have in your car now? If you look around you should be able to find someone to trade you as people want the manual rack setup. I am curious what is in your car now as I have a P/S sterring setup taking up space in my basement.

The guy i bought it from took the A/C and P/S off of the car. I am wanting to at least put the P/S back on the car for now. I am just trying to get ideas and estimates right now.
