Default edelbrocks or trick flows

ok im buyin heads soon im torn between the edelbrock performer 5.0's or the twisted wedge's....i figured edelbrock cause they have been around forever...but any input is appreciated....also i will be getting a custom camshaft grinded as-well.

Edelbrock Pro Port CNC 170's. Basically a newer, better version of the Performer series heads.

You'd have to call Edelbrock, the heads are new and I haven't seena ny prices listed for them anywhere yet.

well im looking to run a set of heads with 2.02 1.60 valves but with a intake runner of 170cc... i wanna keep the car nice for the street make power from like 2200-up

If you get heads I'd say go with the trick flow Twisted Wedge heads. You will have to change your pistons to trick flow ones though so that the valves will clear. I have Edelbrock Performer RPMs and they are basically an Aluminum versioin of a facory head with slighly bigger ports and no emmisions provisions.

my pistons are flycut already..the guy at trickflow said they will go right on my car( itold him my set-up ) the guy at edelbrock recomended the performer 5.0s because i have the egr on car and wont be taking it off.

no you don't!!! that's what the twisted wedge claim to fame is =use of a 2.02 valve on stock bottom end!!! now why is that?? cause valves are canted and not inline
