i bought an 86 5.0 and i was gonna order a bunch of parts for it but first i decided to do a compression test. my compression came out to between 160 and 170 psi. my lowest one being 160 is that the normal psi for that motor???

YOur good I thought the highest a stock 302 could go was 140[&:]

But most will say that the consistensy is whats the most important and have 10psi difference is good.

those are good results...looks like the motor still has life in it

+/- 10% is as bad as you wanna be.... +/-5% is considered good

my '93 was about 125 in all 8 so i'd say your pretty healthy

sweet thats good to hear i bought the car about a month ago for 1000 bucks and the body is in great shape interior needs some work but not to big of a deal....just gonna add some bolt ons and see what happens should be a fun car to take to the track
