Vortech V1 S-Trim Kit. Any opinions?
Being sold by a guy I know him from crusing around townfriday nights. Only about 500 miles on the kit.
Just wondering if anyone has put this on a stang more specifically a SN95 and the results they got from it.
As far as motor mine is all stock internals, stocks heads and intake, I have full Mac exhaust and 373's, subframes, Spec stage III other small things, battery relocation already done, but nothing else significant.
Just wondering if someone could give me of an idea of the small things, maybe a ball park figure on the cost,I need to upgrade to get this thing installed and running properly. Fuel pump, injectors etc etc.
My car is a 94 Cobra by the way.

Well I got one for my 88 gt. So far I'm very happy with it. I would estimate at 6psi I got an additional 60-70 hp (no dyno yet). It creates a good amout of low end power too. Eventually I will bump up the boost when I have the $$ to upgrade the fuel system. It is a great start though and is upgradeable.

Excellent,
He said he is also including the 2.95 pulley, I checked Vortechs site and it says nothing as far as what this takes the boost level to. The guy currently owns both a SN95 and a foxbody, he didn't tell me which it was off of, I have to call him tomorrow, but if it was for the fox, theres not much of a difference is there? I mean what is different between the 93 5.0 and the 94 5.0 besides maybe a couple minor bends I may need to make for the air filter to sit right...

Looks like the alternator is slightly remounted, like its rotated 45 degrees clockwise. Seems the alternator on the fox kits has the alternator on the bottom left, below the blower....
Hmmm...
Guessing theres no efficient way to mod the kit if it was for a fox to fit my SN95?

I'm not really sure how they mount in the 94's. Mine relocates the alternator below the supercharger and they both mount to the same bracket as well as the smog pump. Don't the 94's have a bit of an angle on the input of the manifold just after the egr spacer? if so you might need a different intake tube on the discharge side. That would be easy and cheap to get though. If you want I can post pics.

It's tough to beat the power and ease of installation of a supercharger that's for sure. NOS isn't bad but you have to mess with too much to use it and refilling the bottle sucks too. Bottle warmers purge kits progressive injectors ect. I'll pass.
