Default For those that installed aftermarket dash gauges i need help asap *****

on my fox im installing white face gauges now when i go to take out the instrument panel it wont come out far enough to take disconnect the wires (one on left side of panel and one of bottom right)....i can pull and pull but the wire back there wont let me get the panel out far enough and i dont want to break anything (also i checked and all bolts are out and everything).... any thoughts?




heres some pics of what i mean......in the second pic this guy some how got the panel out far enough before he disconected any wires..[:@]

try pushing the speedometer cable from outside the firewall...sometimes thats what holds it so close that you cant get your hands behind there.

i wanna get rid of that dam airbag bulb !!!

I know it's a tight squeeze sometimes but you'll have to get your hand back there somehow to realase connectors

^^^^^^^you do realizr that if you do remove bulb then the air bag module will sound off every 30 min!!!

and to the op did you release the speedo cable connection???

there are 4 screws holding cluster to dash and the speedo cable doesn't have much slack to pull out on it harder but being careful not to break it... other than that there are just two connectors on the back

yeah from the engine compartment...like mjr said there isnt much slack from it...thats what always holds my cluster so close...sometimes u can squeeze a little more slack out of it

I had to release the speedo cable before I could get mine out far enough to release the connectors...
