Anyone know a good source for a set of ported gt 40 iron heads, I would like to find a package that includes a gt 40 intake that was ported with the heads as well, looking to rebuild my 95 EFI and want to grab some extra power at the same time thanks for your time

basicly I am lazy and don't want to be bothered with extra care alum heads require, iron is durable and more resistant to abuse, besides I am driving a convertable so weight is already nuts won't really help anything by trying to lighten the front end the little bit that alum would anyway

Ok heres the total rundown, my Mustang comes off the road for the winter, while its off the road I plan on switching out the EOD automatic and going to a tremec t-56 6 speed, And sense the engine will be pulled anyway and it has almost 90k on it I figured may as well redo the bottom end and throw some new heads and an intake on it. I wanted the gt 40 heads because I want to keep the car for my everyday driver in the summer and its 60 miles to work round trip. Total parts plan gt40 iron heads, gt40 intake, 65mm throttle body, 24lb/hr injectors, roller cam and roller lifters, and a gear drive. So forgive me if I am trying to watch the budget here and there

Oh. I just remembered that the guys at meridian performance (lynden, WA) bolted a set of iron GT-40 heads to a motor and they were going to test them to see how they performed. You could hit www.superpages.com and search for them and call Monday and ask Tim if he's going to keep them.

Ya man what do you mean aluminum needs extra care ? Only care you have to do to aluminum heads is to not let them over heat after long long hours of driving.
