clutch cable problems

ok so im out running through the gears today when i miss fourth [>:]WTF!! ok so i stop at the next stop sign and go to shift into 1st and the pedal makes a popping sound and drops to the floor. when i pick up my foot it comes up clicking but when i put pressure back on it it just pops and drops back down again. if i dont let it come up all the way and then put pressure i can just engage the clutch and get it into gear. ima tear into it tomorrow but whats wrong with the cable, quadrant, etc..?

Just do what you said your gonna do tom. It's probably either the cable or quadrant like you think.

If you're still running the stock quadrant, it's probably stripped. Time for some aftermarket replacements
