Problems I had with SSI.

1. Hits stock hood - not bad but does hit
2. IAC motor did not fit - had to grind on intake
3. sucks oil thru PCV
4. Flows like crap
5. Whistles at idle
6. LOTS of casting flash that had to be ground down
7. Cost $200 more than other better intakes

and on and on.

That was the main reason i sent back the two i bought. Other problems were one of then had a big gash on top like someone hit it with a BFH and on the other one the hole where one of the bolt's go was cracked all the way through. The casting was terrible, there were four inch pieces of flash inside it. I said the hell with it and did not even try to fix that. I was pissed, i spent all that money and did not think i should i should have to finish thier product to make it usable.

Yep ......... pitiful casting clean-up at the factory.

dont listen to these guys, the ss1 intake is the best on the market , check the dyno tests on em to get proof from MMFF magazine, they do out power the GT-40 and cobra, u wont be dissapointed with one , im still not

What me an barn said were not based on opinions of others but our personalexperience's with the intake. I see you have one and i'm glad your happy with it but i've heard more neg. experiences about them than positive. I guess it's a crap shoot whether or not you get a quality intake from them.
