331 stroker and twisted wedge?
Ok, so im building my 94' gt motor, and im planning on stroking it to a 331. will the heads in the twisted wedge kit work for a 331 motor? also, whats size throttle body should i get with this kit? and any recommendations on any specific lifters?

RE: 331 stroker and twisted wedge?
am i losing power by running these heads on the 302? i havent bored the motor out yet, so its still a 302. im just wondering if boring it out to a 331 will be worth it if im pulling the motor out and doing a complete motor rebuild anyways. and i've read that the intake did work for a 347, so why wouldnt it work well for a 331?

Take your engine to the machine shop that is going to do your work and let them make the call if it needs to be bored or not. Don't bore it if it doesn't need it, boring it .030" will only add 6 cubic inches. Stroking is where the big gains come in. I would skip right over the 327/331 and get a 342/347. I have a 331 and there is nothing wrong with it but I was under the assumption the 347s required more block machining and used oil which isn't the case at all. The is some minor clearancing that have to be done for the rod bolts to clear but it is nothing major.
As far as the Trick Flow kit it is more designed towards a 302 than a 331 or bigger engine. You will need to piece one together yourself to get maximum performance. The twisted wedge heads are great but they are only 170cc. A stroker engine, again this is coming from experience, needs something in the 180cc+ range to do the engine some justice. Trick Flow sells CNC machined heads that have 185cc intake ports that would be way better or AFRs, Canfileds, etc.
The camshaft also needs to be bigger than a stage 1 Trick Flow. If you really want a Trick Flow they a decent cams but get a stage 2 or 3 and make sure that when you do the valve springs on the heads match what you choose. Call Trick Flow and tell them what you are doing and they will give you all the part numbers to complete your engine.

Yes the heads will work with the 331. They are a smaller intake runner but they will work fine. You will actually gain some more torque with the smaller runner head. If you are looking to make more HP go with the 185 cc head, but you will have to piece the parts togther since we do not offer that head ina kit form.
