Default Need some direction on picking non-adjustable struts/shocks

Hey Guys,

As the subject line states, I'm looking for some advice on picking some non-adjustable struts/shocks.

I'mgoing to pair them with an eibach pro-kit.

I'm looking to have a middle ground package; sono 90/10 drag shocks, or crazy road racing struts/shocks... I think most are the adjustable kind anyway, but you see my point. I would definitely lean towards more of a handling shock if I had to go one way or the other.

The car will see a drag strip probably twice a year, and maybe an autocross track once at best.

What do you guys run as far as non-adjustables/or have run in the past?
Any insight into which kinds I should look further into?

I would prefer to buy koni yellows, strange 10 ways, and the like, but my budget and myapplication don't really dictate that kind of purchase. In the end I may go this route anyway, but please don't bother to tell me about it... I'm looking for information on the non-adjustables.

As always, thanks for the help!

I got some tokico blues and they seem nice. Got em on Ebay for about $230.

How long have you been running them? How do they feel handling-wise? What springs are you sitting on?

Anyone else? I can't be the only person who has sought to buy standard performance struts/shocks!

If the 90/10's are more than you want, the 70/30's could be an option (Lakewood)

I'm curious myself, I'm in the same position. I just started researching, what I have learned so far:
-There are two kinds of springs- progressive and specific rate. Progressive rate springs get stiffer as they get more compressed, linear have the same stiffness no matter how much they're compressed. Progressives tend to be more ideal for handling, specifics will do better at the track.
-90/10s are nice at the track, but a better setup for someone like you would probably be 70/30s up front and 50/50s in the rear. Little nicer on the street.

As far as brands...that's what I want to know as well. I've never dealt with suspension before, aside from control arms

I have Eibach Pro-Kits with the Tokico HPs (Blue Ones).....it handles GREAT!

The Tokico HPs are the same quality as the Illuminas (White Ones), but they are not adjustable........in other words, you are not sacrificing quality with the HPs, just functionality.......

I have had them on for almost 2 years, and they are just as tight as they where the day I installed them.....for the price, I wouldn't buy anything cheaper
