Default Help with axle?

I need help or advice on this set-up and my financial budget::::::

I got an Auburn Differential 8.8 31 spline for FREE.
I'm gonna buy a kit off of 50resto.com for $285 (FFRP 3.73 gears, a master bearing and seal kit, oil, and friction modifier).
And 50resto.com again, for moser 31spline axles for $235.
Labor is going to be $400.

That's a total of $915, which pisses me off, but the car needs it and you can tell everytime you get on it. I need to find a way to save money....
Do I need anything else? Is it ok to wait on redoing the rear?

I"M THINKING OF BUYING A NEW AXLES ASSEMBLY WITH THE SAME SET UP (minus the auburn, instead a Traction-Lok) AND MOSER AXLES FOR $1,010 AND INSTALL IT MYSELF?????

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

you can install it yourself, its not that hard, but if you never installed gears before I would get it done somewhere.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ you mean buy a complete rear end set up new right?? if that's what you mean..that's what I'd do cause gauranteed you don't have the tools to do it your self and set gears up properly

I do mean a complete assembly.......I know whats involved with upgrading a rear... IF i upgrade my rusted one, I'll like the fact that it has a FREE Auburn Diff.... but I could spend 100bucks more at the most to get a completely NEW axle assembly - thats shiny - and it might be a better idea? I"M JUST LOOKING FOR THE MOST COST AFFECTIVE WAY.
