just what I thought...you have to pull the spout plug to set timing..

ohh. the little plug on the end of those wires, coming off the dizzy! i did pull that. were you being serious when you said 5 degrees?

i guess i can back off the timing some more. there is no such thing as too much retarded timing right? i mean, the motor prolly won't run when you get to a certain point, but it won't hurt it right?

well in a way the car can run at 0 degrees but it will sound like sh-t. if you notice it running better at 5* then chances are your balancer is crapped out and giving you an incorrect readind. i would retard the timing UNTIL THE PINGING STOPS. thats the best way to solve this problem.

yeah, retarted it a lil more and see what happens, my balancer sliped and it said that my car was running 30* but it was really 10*
