Hi I have a 89 GT that was originally a 5spd car and the previous owner switched it over to an AOD. The AOD is slipping badly when I get in the gas hard and the od doesnt work so I picked up a small bellhousing c4 and converter from cook's racing in cowpens, sc. I have already ordered the correct sfi flexplate and I havethe rightshifter. I will need a dipstick tube and a kickdown cable and I'm not sure where I can pick those up. What else will I need to complete my swap? I want to have everything ready before I start. Any help will be appreciated.

for the kick down cable set up...try LOKAR they specialize in such...also maybe TCI......just a guess....also you may want to think about running a external tranny cooler and you may have to get adapters and reconfigure cooler lines a little to fit the set up

I already have the largest tranny cooler that b&m offers. I added that when I put my new aluminum rad and electric fan. Thanks for the info on the cables.

Will I need a new spedometer cable or will the stock cable work with the C4?

The stock cable worked on my car. Its an 86 gt. On the 89 it may be different though not sure.
