Default leaky oil pan gasket

can a bad oil pan gasket cause you to loose pressure...just wondering seem like it would

nope the pressure is not in the pan its in the oil gallies and through out the oil system. the pan is just a holding place for the pump to suck it out of

you gotta take the oil pressure sending unit on the side of the block and put the mechanical one in its place

ok..i checked for blow by.. basically checked the air filter for oil and took out the dipstick but my dip is so loose feels like i could pull it right out...could that cause any problems

getting low oil pressure reads when car gets warm,kinda wierd really if i rev it oil press builds for a sec when it gets a little warm if i rev it goes down a bit motor sounds good and quiet (no knocks or pings) but underneath looks like im getting oil loss somewhere .

blow by wont cause bad oil pressure either i have some good blow by going on and my oil pressure is still perfect. if you are losing oil pressure its either your pump or you are gunna spin a bearing sometime in the near future

thats what i'm afraid of ill just get a mech tester and find out if its not hgood ill just run the **** out of it and throw in a 351 w...thanks for helping, oh yeah where did you see the ping pong trick........

how many miles do you have on the car and its most likely just the gauge if its not the gauge its the pump which is easy enough to replace
