RE: Transmission question
Is it a five speed? Is it hard to get in every gear or just second? If it is the transmission going out, I am a big fan of G-Force or Astro Performance replacement gears. You don't have to have another bellhousing, shifter, driveshaft yoke, or do any crossmember mods. You will have to have a fine spline clutch disc. How much power are you making now?

RE: Transmission question
haha true..... ^^^^
i think lucky to have 200 rwhp.
anyways......it really depends how serious your gonna get, doing a rebuild on your current is the best bet if you think you'll never break 400 hp, or don't plan on 5k launches on full slicks.
the stock t5 is a good piece, hard launches are what kills them
also you can do an upgrade rebuild.....like bring it to "z" specs

RE: Transmission question
my t-5 does the same thing. It grinds to get into 2 and 3 gear but it doesn't pop out. It seems pretty smooth once it is in gear. I am pretty sure mine is the syncro's. Do you guy's think i need to replace the gear sets too.

RE: Transmission question
If it grinds into 2nd and 3rd you will have to replace the actual gears because the clutch teeth will be worn down. You will also have to replace the 1-2 and 3-4 syncronizer rings because the teeth will worn as well. You can order alot of those parts on ebay for cheap! I got a 1-2 for $44 brand new as opposed to $60+ from a shop.
