Default Weird grinding noise

Hey guys i noticed the other day a rubbing noise comming from the rear of my mustang. I believe its happening all the time, but its very audible at low speeds. Any ideas what this could be? thanks guys.

oh really sounds expensive how much would it cost to have a shop fix it? im not extremely mechanically inclined..

Try to find out what the noise is. Put it up on stands and turn wheels be hand. If you have no luck with that start it up and put in gear to try and locate the noise, have a buddy with you. If the bearings is problem, specifically the carrier and inner axle bearings your looking at a few hundred bucks for labor because they have to take it apart. Read up on what might be the problem and learn someof the terminologyand try to locate it yourself. If you dont have a trusted mechanic you use and you go in there clueless bring some lube so it wont be as painful.

hey thats funny. my friends blazer started making a weird noise in the back, few days later his car was shaking violenty and a chunk of metal fell out.
