Default my new project

well i came across an 86 5.0 in really good shape for really cheap....the body was in great condition and motor was also in great shape with perfect compression.....anyways i got a set of headers and h pipe to go along with the flowmasters it came withwhich i am not to fond of....i also got a set of410 gears....also i bought a set of 87 heads because i hear they flow better than the 86 and got a cobra intake.....and i am also spraying the car with 100 shot....my question is what is my next step other than u/d pulleys....i was gonna get a cam but i hear u shouldnt really put a cam on speed density cars...is this true??? ure help would be greatly appreciated thank u

More like u shouldnt put a cam with stock heads, no matter the year. Is the car auto or manual? 4.10s are kinda steep for manuals.

You just opened up a can worms my friend lol. The discussion of using 4.10's have been a hot topic lately. Some people have a problem if it is a daily driver. I'm staying nuetral on the debate. But what are your plans with the car, dd, week-end driver, track? I do agree with the cam suggestion. You can def put one in just like you can any other car but it would not benefit you untill untill you get better flowing heads.
