how big of a difference are we talking?
i have a good handful of bolt on mod's but i hate how i dont have power till about 25-30mph, then it screams up to 60.......in first.....hahaha

how much did it change your rpms? (im right at 1200-1300rpm at 60mph)

I just put in my new 3.73's like 3 days ago in my 93 gt 5Speed and after having 3.08's for a year I was very impressed with the upgrade. I finally got that Suck you to the Seat feeling I was looking for and I wouldn't even think of going any higher than that no way, 3.73's are perfect for our cars with a 5 speed trust me don't go 4.10's unless you drive with slicks on the street. Anyone try the new 3.90's those would be a good middle ground if you really wanted togo higher.

ORIGINAL: 94StinkinLincoln

4.10's but a buddy has them on a 95 vert s/c'd rand ran a 12.2, he ran out of gear just before the traps, in 3rd.
i bet he was looking at the stock tach too

and i bet he was NOT running out of gear , he should have gone through just perfect like i said trust me, theres plenty left

stock tachs are way off....my 5200 chip would lite up about 1-2 seconds b4 i lit the clock but my stock tach showed i was at about 6k+ ready to bounce the limiter

no he was lookin at the Tweecer r/t, and his stock tach showed the same thing as the tweecer if i am not mistaken. he said he wound up being a few hundred rpms to shy, stock heads and valvetrain, he didnt want to go higher than 5,500-6k.

i always wondered about the stock tach, i need to get my tweecer back so i can see exactly where mine is at.

i've had several 5 speed mustangs with 4.10s and loved them. this is my very first auto (aode) and i went with 4.10s again. knowing what i know now i wish i'd have gone with 4.30s. the gear ratios in the auto make the 4.10s feel like 3.73s in a 5 speed car.and i really don't know what all the hype about gas mileage is about. if you want performance go with the 4.10s or 4.30s, if you want gas mileage go with a Honda.
