Default RE: mechanical vs. electric gauges

ORIGINAL: fordguy17

roundman, is it possible to mount a mechanical water temp. gauge on the dash? i really would like to get the kit as it is only 50 dollars, vs. spending 50 dollars a gauge plus the mounting pods...
anything is possible I guess if you don't mind putting in the effort to do it. Autometer does have mounting cups to use to mount single gauges just about anywhere you have the space to put them, it's up to you to figure out where to put it and how to get the sensor tube routed through the dash and firewall out to the lower intake where it is attached.
