low oil pressure....?
Not sure if its a gauge issue or not, but i just got my car back together, and i had replaced the oil pump and pickup tube, and now sometimes the oil pressure gets a reading of really low. I'm not sure if screwed somethign up with the sensor, or gauge while putting everything back together, or if the oil pressure is really getting low. Why would my oil pressure get low? and what would i look for in order to try and fix it?

RE: low oil pressure....?
you first need to put a mechanical gauge on the port where the sending unit is and verify if there really is a pressure prob..if so then it's internal..if no..either guage or sending unit or wiring

RE: low oil pressure....?
ya i just got a few gauges from a friend of mine, but i think im missnig the tubing part that goes out the back of the gauge. The water temp one has the line that goes directly into the manifold, but the oil pressure just has the two wires, so i need to get the other peice. But when im installing that line for the oil pressure, you take off the sender unit? and then attach it?
