Maybe one of you mustang wiz's out there can help me, for about 2 weeks now, my transmissions has been actin up on me, makin a bucking sound almost, hard to describe but its really loud inside and outside of the car. It only make it when im DEccelerating, never when i accelerate. It is loud and clear like steel on steel the type of sound from draggin a piece of steel against a steel fence its quick and repeats and doesnt give up, through 1,2,3,5 but never in 4th gear for whatever reason. hope i gave a good enough description to get some answers thanks guys my only guess is maybe a tranny mount, but i definitely need to get this fixed it sounds awful i cant even hear my nice exhaust notes

Take it to a tranny shop, like AAMCO, free diagnosis

might wanna check your trans mount and make sure it's not broken, just in case. That way you don't pull your trans and find out is was just a broken mount[:@]. My buddy had a mustang and he broke tranny mounts all the damn time and the drive shaft would rub the tunnel and would thud loud as hell, but it did it during hard acceleration and decel. Good luck

get the polyurethane trans mount
