Default Innner Tie Rod Install

Can anyone tell me how easy/hard it is to install a passenger inner tie rod?

I tried to get a wheel alignment and Sears said it had some 'play' and recommended a replacement. I can get a replacement, but Sears wants like $50 to install it.... Can this be easily done myslef???? If so, please provide brief, detailed instructions. Thank you...

you could do it yourself but you would need to buy or borrow a tie rod separating tool and then the front end would need to have the toe-in set up correctly, so if all Sears wants is $50, then I would let them change it as long as they reset the toe-in as part of the price.

It's easy...I've done both inner and outter. On some cars you need a tool to get the inner off but not on stangs. You move the boot away from the rack and expose the joint. There is a set screw that needs to be loosed then you turn the large nut and the tie rod comes off. To get a rough idea, measure the center to center length of the tie rod and put is back to the same measurement so that you are close. You'll need an alignment...I do that myself also but most don't.
