When it rains my90 GTrefuses to start. Oftenwhen I keep cranking and give it a lot of gas it'll catch, but then it'll backfire.

Think it may be water getting in through the Mach III hood and getting all over the relay or maybe some exposed stater motor wires? Sometimes if I crank it too long it the relay smokes, so i should probably finda better solution than cranking it for 3 minutes : )

Any suggestions?

i would replace the plug wires and dizzy cap for starters

i had the same problem but mine was water getting in the distributor. i didn't have a boot cover

when vehicle is dry, and running smoothly. get a spray bottle of water and spray wires and distributor for starters, do this while running, u should find the problem

Alrighty, I replaced the cap, which was kind of rusty and corroded anyway, and made a temporary distributor boot out of vinyl cloth until the stock rubber one I ordered comes in the mail.

lightly mist all ignition components like coil and see if it arcs= need a new one if it does
