I used a safety pin to probe the wire but whatever, just get a good connection to the green wire.

its showing about 4.6 volts, how do i get it down

i changed out the tps with another one i had on another 302 and the volts were still 4.5 closed and about 4.9 open. what else causes this, i am new to efi and need all the help i can get

You might wana check the Fuel Filter, might be cloged, might have enough for slower RPMS like idle but when u step on it, it cant keep up the flow, causing it to die! give that a shot never know! i ve seen stupider things before!
