my oil pressure is 80-90 cold idle and warm idle 55-60 but i have a high volume oil pump

water temp 175-185
Hope you running the right bearing clearances for a H/V pump and not the factory recommended clearances, there could be problems later on if you are.

judging from the stock gage (which i kno is useless) 60ish cold and about 38 hot..


i have an autometer oil pressure gage and water temp gage but i have no idea on how to install the water temp one..... can anyone help me out?

your water temp is going to depend on the thermostat. i run a 165* and some people are running 190* so you are hearing a 30* difference here.

when i assembled the engine i did plasti gauge everything, i told a trustworthy race shop what my setup was, they said i was good. what issue can i have down the road, i have 8,000 miles on the rebuild. Should i run thinner oil?

nacanitihs~

u will need to get a adapter fitting and insert the thermometer inplace of the stock one. located driver side lower intake runner, stock one is a electronic one needs to be removed

Not meaning to Jack the Thread, but do you recall what the clearances were?

no sorry i dont remember what the clearance was, and yes i replaced cam bearings, had block and rotation assembly balanced and check the line bore also had ir punched 30 over. I had help puttin engine together and i do remember my friend saying that my engine was tight clearances. What are you guys thinkin? I think my engine performs beautiful... what do i look for?
