Default 93 4-cyl with 86 5.0 Carbed swap (fuel pump question)

I just bought a 1993 LX hatch 4 bangerwith a carbed 86 5.0 swap. The car has the complete 86 GT suspension, AOD tranny, 8.8 rear, etc. The guy that had the original 86 carbuerated the engine with a Holley Street Avenger 670. He sold the 86 to the guy that I bought the 93 from (he did the swap). For $2800 bucks I think I did well. The body is straight, engine runs very well (needs timing adjusted and carb tuned), and the interior is dirty but looks good. Anyway, my question is regarding the fuel pump.

The guy that did the swap put an inline electrical pump on the firewall. It wasn't pulling any fuel from the tank so I had to rig a hose and wrap it around to the filler hole in order to run it where I could pull it up to my garage. I believe that the stock in-tank pump is crap. What type of low pressure (for carb applications 4-8 psi), electric fuel pump can I use in the tank? Or, do I need to use another external pump closer to the tank and run a hose into it?
