What size water temp adapter fit in your intake manifold when you installed the mechanical water temp gauge. I just have asunpro gauge going into my 85 GT, but need to get an adapter and dont know which is going to fit.

ya, but the thermoeter thing needs something to sit on so it doesne just bottom out in my manifold, and also the end of the gauge is a little small for the hole in the manifold.

if i remember when i get home tonight i will look at mine, do you happen to have the stock thermometer? you might have to do alittle trial and error at a parts shop, even a hardware store for a reducer, now that you mentioned it i might have ran into the same issue installing gauge pods, get back to ya

I did the same on my 85. You will need a bass reducer. Got mine at Home Depot.

A base reducer? Any way you can find what you have online and send me a pic or something?

normally the sun-pro kits come with various adapters but your local parts store should have an array of adapters
