I have the same exact problem sometimes.....Sometimes it will crank fine and sit at around 800 rpm and idle, sometimes it will surge....I also done have very many miles on my hci......Definatly does it more when its cold out tho. Seafoam is great, i just used some again in my fuel, but i guess i'll try to run some through the vacuum and see if that helps anything. When i replaced my valve cover gaskets it stoped for along time, then started again, i'm thinking because i retorqued the upper intake and reconnected the vacuum lines.....Im just gona try to retourqe the upper intake and run some seafoam through and see if anything helps.....Let me know if you figure anything out about yours, and i'll let you know if anything helps me.
