All that intake with the stock heads won't give you the performance boost that you are looking for...

Here's a real work scenario. A buddy of mine had a stock 92 GT. He finally broke into the 13's with a 13.98. He kinda had the same mindset as 19stang86. He put an edelbrock intake, bigger ma and tb and installed an f-cam. He slowed down 4 tenths. After all his work and "wasted money" his best run was 14.42. This is not heresay i was with him at the track. Bigger inj. dont mean anything, a regulator is going to determine how much fuel is delivered. And as far as the other mod's my buddy had and the same one's you are thinking about doing, it is a waste. The stock heads do not flow enough to take advantage to the bigger intake,MA, and TB. Keep saving till you can buy a better set of heads and then you will benefit from the other mod's your talking about doing.

You may see a small power gain with this combo, but you will not need the 24 pound injectors. The 19 pound are go to approx. 300 hp +/-. The reason you wont see much power is because the stock heads and cam can not match the potential of the intake. You could take that same money and apply it to an explorer intake, Thumper heads, and a cam and have alot more power.

The reason that nitrousbob said you dont need forced air or more fuel until you exceed 300 hp is because that is what the maximum duty cycle is on the stock 19lb injectors, 24 lb injectors are only good until 350hp, so on and so fourth. The ECU will determine the pulse width for the injectors to stay open and deliver fuel based on the readings that the o2 sensors say the A/F ratio is. I have a 91 mustang and my first mods were cobra intake, 70mm TB, 76mm C&L MAF housing with blue sample tube, and 24 lb injectors set to 39lb using a BBK AFPR. The car ucked, it had nothing in the upper RPMs and I thought it was something that I was doing wrong. The car smelled like *** at an idle because it was running rich as hell and it was overloading with fuel. I pulled all the fuel mods off and put on the stock injectors and MAF and what do you know... the thing ran so much better. If you dont have anything to push you over the 300 hp mark, you dont need those injectors.
Now, if you plan on doing a mild 306a some nice HCI, then you would need those injectors, so if you can get them at a good price and hang onto them, thats what I recommend. Dont be an idiot and put 24's on a stocktop end.

ORIGINAL: nitrous_bob
you would get more performance by waxing your car and that would save you $1000 or so
none of those things will do a single thing for you. if anything...you'll be slower since you'll lose air velocity
you do not lack any of the things your looking to add....you don't need fuel or non-forced air until you hit about 300+ hp

RE: 24lbs injectors 76mm mass air 75 throttle body
but as long as everything is equal howcould you go wrong?
the way you can go wrong is not matching the rest of the engine to those parts you mentioned, did you know even explorers have 19 pounders and they have bigger valves etc. 24lbs is overkill so is the throttle body i have a 70mm with my gt40s and I think I should have went for the 65 just because likebob said velocity not the volume pal. The e7 heads are very restrictive and its not your stock maf or injectors restricing your car "unless you have a 55mm maf" then I would recommend a 70mm from a 94-95. If I were you Id save up and get heads and cam do it right and dont be dissapointed that your car isnt a speeding bullet after dumping 500 - 700 in mods.

I've got stock mas air and injectors. 70mm throttle body, trickflow street heat upper and lower, bbk fpr with mostly stock heads all but the roller rockers and I noticed a big difference. Just gofor a smaller maf, tb and the trickflow intanke and you'll be alright

Go bigger...
Here's an example...
I have a foot long straw in my left hand, and a foot of garden hose in my right.
If I try to breath through these 2 different 'intakes', which one will allow the greatest Volumetric Efficiency?
I'm not trying to say that charge velocity is worthless.... but you guys are making WAY too much of it...
Higher velocities are an indication of a restriction!
As for the 24's....
If the MAF/Injector/ecu setup is correct, then 24's will work just fine on a BONE STOCK Mustang.
good luck,
jason
