Injector Mystery Wire
so i have been having problems with my car idling as well as missing, hesitating, stumbling and all that crap so i replaced my tbs set to .98v, i did the iac as well as reset the idle, i also did the egr and the fuel filter. By the way im running 255lph fuel pump, 70mm throttle body, 42lb injectors, msd 6al box, and a 80mm Mass air. Well after changing that the only thing it did was solve my idle problem, the missing and hesatating is still there. So i dropped it off so my mechanic could play with the timing and no matter what he did to it he said that flat spot will not go away. He also said that there is a wire that is cut off on one of my injectors. The 3rd cylinder from the back on the passenger side of the engine. Any way there is 2 wires going into the top of all the other injectors, yet this has a wire taped into that bunch of wires that isnt connected to anything, however is just sticked up where its not taped. He wanted me to come on and ask you guys what you thought it was. He has no idea and doesnt know if its a ground or what. thanks - Jay

RE: Injector Mystery Wire
Are you running an aftermarket intake manifold ?
If so it may be the wire for the coolant temperature sensor that is normally sitting on top of the lines running to the heater on a stock setup. The sensor normally sits on one of the heater pipes, just above the valve cover area, on the passenger side, right above cylinder #1.
If you have a stock intake, then I do not know what the wire is.
Normally you should be able to look at the color of the wire(s) and find it on an electrical schematic, and follow it back to its source, or target.
Can you post the color of the wire ?

RE: Injector Mystery Wire
I just read on another thread something about the mass air being straight up? My car is supercharged and the mass air is in my passenger fender. Im not sure if it needs to be level or something but i know mine is leaned down and forward. Its a pro-M mass air and cone style air filter. Would this have anything to do with it? Possibly its dirty?
