RE: Lifter Oiling Issue with motor build
DONT FEEL BAD.
I did mine to precision and had this issue as well, now that things are oiled and kinda broken, in, I would reset the lash again.
Dont do, 1/2 turn, or 1/4 turn, do a full turn.
Use a dot of white out to assist you.

i just went through this exact same thing with my engine. i did it 3 times over doing 1/4 - 1/2 turn. sounded like i forgot to tighten half the rockers every time. pulled it apart and started from scratch. did 1 full turn. no more noise... no more than normal anyway...

I actually trieda full turn as well....you would think that the noise between 1/4 turn and a full turn wouldquiet it downbut it was the same madness.....I cant tell you how many times I tried setting these gay assrockers....LOL I dont know if something iswrong internally with the heads creating this noise....I dont know anything about heads (internals) I can just put them on....butmy guy that did theheads knows his$hit...Ijust dont know if its possible he slipped somehow? Since every conv. method of problem solving has been done???
