^^^^when all else fails throw every part in the system new on it??....a simple test light is all that is needed to diagnosis the prob..not slap parts til it starts.....first with the key held in the crank position touch the test light to the small wire that goes to selonoid = hot in crank = ignition feed wire for selonoid to be engauged...if hot = ignition switch good.....then with held in crank position still....touch test light to big cable on selonoid that goes down to starter = should light up test light ..if it does and no cranky crank..= bad starter....make sure all connections are free of corrosion and tight

Hammer test was used as a temp solution on my moms old corolla. No start= bring out the hammer.

most of the time on toyotas... you don't need to replace the starter^^^ a set of 6.00 dollar contacts cures a no start/ click only from the starter
