oh crap! yeah i know now. so on mine i think my cable has always been too tight, my clutch disengages about 1 inch travel from top. do i pop the paul open with pedal all the way up? is there a certain direction to pop it adder?

alright this is what im seeing, is the fork-like white thing the pawl? and if it is, i need to pop it out? Then what? Sorry for all the questions and not understanding, ive just never done this before.

look at the pic adder put ut and u can sorta see the teeth. i just cant get to the pawl thing i know where it is but cant reallt see it good enough to tell what im doing

you need to get up behind the quadrant with a screwdriver. the teeth are on the back side, towards the firewall once you pop it loose you just follow the normal adjustment proceedure, and it should be ALOT better

just reach up there and above the gas pedal and see if you can feel teeth its a tight fit but make sure if you do that you dont have anything on your hands i got a class ringand got my hand stuck up there for about 5 minutes one time

lol, you can try adjusting it, but its like 80% guaranteed when you replace the clutch in these things that the factory plastic adjuster will strip out, so you cant ever get it to adjust right. Order an aluminum clutch quadrant and cable from an aftermarket company, i have UPR's. It puts a threaded end on the transmission side of the cable. Three pickups on the quadrant, adjust by tightening a nut and changing with pickup you use. They are pretty cheap, and easy to replace, i think around 80 bucks for everything
