Default Free Electric Fan...... Wiring????

So a friend of mine gave me an electric fan. Its a Perma Cool, this one to be exact.....
I believe its the 14"

http://www.jegs.com/p/Perma-Cool/744391/10002/-1/10117

I am slightly retarded when it comes to electrical wiring. How do I wire this up? I want to do it to where I manually turn it on and off, so no splicing into the Ignition wire. Can I hook it up to my headlights so that it only comes on when I turn the lights on? I have a fluidyne aluminum radiator, so I wont need it on when im on the freeway. I also race, so I wont want it on when Im going down the 1320. I want to do it so that it comes on ONLY when the headlights are on, not the small lights. I cant remember what they are called..

Any help is appreciated...

Why would you want it wired to the headlites? You can wire it however you want, you will need a relay and an inline fuse for it though.

These may help you

ok so here is my diagram its not very good but its all i could do.

first off ill tell you what the numbers on the relay are.
30 is constant power from the battery
87 is gunna be the positive to your fan
both 87 and 30 have to be a thick gauge im not sure match it up with whats on your fan

87a is empty

86 is the positive on the control side of the relay
85 is the negative on the control side of the relay
86 can be spliced right into 30 to make things easy for yourself
both of these wires dont have to be thick gauge all you need is like 18 or 20 gauge for these
you are gunna put the switch on 85 that way you can run the wire inside the car and ground it off under the dash somewhere

now when ever you flip your switch it energizes a coil between the 86 and 85 post with will flip a switch in the relay to send power from 30 to 87 and then your fan will turn on if you have anymore questions just ask me
