Default Vacuum pumping the crankshaft

I have heard rumors around my local track that if you vacuum the crankshaft you can gain 30-50 horses is this true and how would igo about doing so if anybody has actually done this can youpost pictures

I think he means vacuuming the crankcase...

Some racers do it using a belt driven crankcase evacuation pump...

I don't think it'll give you that much power though?

I've read of people getting that much hp with a good system. But it depends on your set up. You will gain much more hp with a 500 cid engine than what you would say with a 302 small block. It depends on how powerful the engine is in the first place and i've READ it depends on compression of engine also.
