Electrical dillema
history of problem: Temp Gauge does not work, Gas guage does



Replaced sensor at engine
tried to ground out end no movement
hookedup a toner tool and get continuity until i plug in to back of cluster then nothing
replaced temp part of cluster

i am out of ideas anybody have a clue what else i could try, i dont want an aftermarket gauge. this has been buggin me for over a year and i am at wits end...

1995 mustange 5.0

improvements in the last year
cold air intake
new top (Convertable)
new radio
new antenna
new gear
new wires/plugs
sub frame connectors

i have same problem,

just buy some aftermarket AutoMeters and have a good shop install them

lol, well, you have a break somewhere in the wire...get some diagrams and start checking the wire whereever u can, or if nothing else just splice in your own wire

ok, i foung part of the problem, the actuall end that plugs into the sensor was bad, i cut that off and spliced in a wire and grounded it at that jumps the gauge to hot, which it never did before but when i hook it up to the sensor nothing, i recently replace the temp sensor (second time) i still have the old one. when i installed it i used teflon tape, could this causing the gauge not to work? I am ready to pop.... somebody must had cured this problem HHEELLPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
