take em off one cylinder, put a black permanent marker circle on the valve tip stem(covering the whole tip,
then , do as you did, adjusting the two rockers, keep turing the engine over by hand or use the starter.
Note that the circle should have a narrow line in the CENTER of the stem, where it wore off the black marker.

hey guys ive never done this before and i just wanted to know if everthing sounded good so far? i put a new holley systemmax 2 cam in with new timing chain, some ported polished, 1.94 and 1.6 valves, with heavy duty springs and retainers in and used energizer roller rockers,
my procedure, turn piston to TDC and adjusted the proper rockers then rotated adjusted other ones and so on, but i tightened the rockers by hand untill the push rod had slight resistance the tightened it 3/4 of a turn for each one but i didnt measure the pushrod length i just used stock ones, does this sound ok?

This makes me cringe, sounds like things are being half-assed. I'd never run stock pushrods with stronger valve springs, i've heard of countless times where the stock pushrods turn into pretzels and F up a lot of the valvetrain. You should always check pushrod length and always check piston-to-valve clearance before assemblying an engine.
