Default heater core, hard 2 replace?

got a 1991 gt. heater core went out. ive heard its a pain to fix. i know its behind the dash, so my assumption is that you have to remove the dash, right? how hard is this task, and is it even worth to replace, or should i just carry a blanket in the car next winter!?!

any help is appreciated, thnx.

Not hard.....just time consuming...I did mine twice [:'(]

There are some great directions out there, I will post them when I find them

i just removed/bypassed mine. pulling the dash was fun. carrying a blanket is out of the question for me. winters with over 10 feet of snow leaves about 5-6months of stang driving

Its sucks a little, but it mostly takes time. Once you get to the unit it just 6 screws and two hose clamps. It the getting there that sucks

The actual heater core replacement is the easy part ... finding all the hidden screws is the pain.
