car wont turn off (and no tach)
ok so if yall seen my help threads, yall know my car broke like a week ago, it had a gm style dizzy on it, so over the last week we replaced it with a old autolite dizzy , with new points/condensors, msd cap/rotor, and a accell coil. well today i finally got it running right, we had a wire coming off the coil wrong, but it runs now, but the only way to turn car off is to stall the engine. any ideas?
and also sincei had a HEI dizzy on it the tach wire went directly to the distributor,how do i hook it up with this style dizzy, i read somewhere to hook it to positve side of coil, is this right?

whats powering up the dizzy when the key is off we should have no power at the coil and dizzy is it not wired to a switched power it should be so when the key is off no power you need a switched 12v source thats all that will keep it running is keeping the coil and dizzy powered up

Instead of constant 12+ volts(power at all times), use a test light and find a 12v key on source from your fuse panel and run a wire from there to your 12v+ that you have constant right now.
