Installing Quarter Windows
#11
I've done this on my 86 about 4 years ago ish. The 87-93 quarter windows bolt right into the existing window opening, except there's a few catches.
The drip molding going from the mirror to over your existing windows and louvers needs to be removed and shortened.
Since the glass now bolts to the outside of the car instead of butyled on the inside, the interior quarter panel trim will have an inch and a half gap between the window. You can either install some 87-89 panels or not. I didn't and left the gap since it really didn't bother me, just don't drop anything inbetween there or you'll have to remove the panel to get it!
You're going to need some new butyl tape as that's what seals the window to the body. It's the same stuff that's holding your quarter windows in there now.
