Default TPS

Ok i brought it to autozone and had it scanned its reading number 23 wich is the TPS the ford book says its out of range. how do i put it back on range? are you suppose to loosen the screws and turn it? but its not adjustible and the guy there said thats the reason for the popping and retarted throttle responce is this true

If it's not adjustable and it's out of adjustment, it's defective. Replace it.

you need a digitsl multimeter to test the base setting all the way through out the voltage sweep to max reading at wot and look for any inconsistencies or drop outs or high readings.....id just replace it and set to fac spec

you can adjust it. take a dremmel and make the screw holes in the sensor a little larger. then start the car and adjust back and forth until the misfiring stops then tighten down the screws.

yes you can use a drill bit or dremel to enlarge ythe holes, but the thing is this...you need to be under 1.0v main thing....being at .960-.990v is best...but even at .750v shouldn't be an issue.

this is all done w/ key on engine off "KOEO"

you need a digital mutimeter like stated

just use safety pins to pierce the wires and test it to see where it's at b4 even bothering w/ it
