This is on your v6, correct?

Timing is advanced at the distributor... I'm not sure on the details for the v6's though.

Go gears for now.
If you want to get serious power go boost or 5.0/5.8 swap/stroker.

Any chip that you order via mail is worthless.
If you go to a chassis dyno or modify the stock settings yourself, then a J3 chip is worth the money effort...

so yeah, chip on a car with CAI, mufflers and u/d pullies would be competely worthless. go with gears. but remember, your speedo will be off, i think on the 94-up you have to get a computer recalibrator. you have headers and all? that would be the next thing, is that the v6 with the crazy looking intake, or is that later models?

you don't need to recalibrate your computer after installing gears on a 94, just buy a new speedo gear for 3 dollars

okay, i know you can just get a gear for the fox's, i was thinking i saw that you had to recalibrate for the 94-95's, i guess that starts in 96?

I'm not sure when it starts but I know you can use a speedo gear on a 94, at least I did

yeah i know i would need a speedo gear like drhoward said, as for the headers the v6 section tells me its pointless, i wanted to get some shorty headers cause i have found them cheap, anyone here think its worth it? and how much is it around to install in new york i get alot of different opinions

the headers would give you alot better sound but the gears will give your more speed then the headers. id pass on the chip for no and wait till you need it, no point in getting one burnt twice.

- Check the tech articles for a thread on advancing your timing.

And you should specify to people that you have a V6, alot of people probably dont read your signature at the bottom.
