92 mustang lx 5.0 ??'s fuel???
hey everyone, i bought a 1992 ford mustang LX 5.0 from my uncle the car sat or a little over a year,
i got the car, did a spark plug change, changed the distributor, then i wasnt getting fuel, so i checked the fuel pump, it was bad. so i dropped the tank put a new pump in it, fired right up. ran good for about 4-5 hours and now when i step on the gas it acts like it was being choked downlike it had an E break on or something, so i changed the fuel filter, and it ran fine for a bout 5 minutes then did it again, so i dont know if the fuel tank is full of stuff, i dont believe so, but does anybody have any ideas??

It's bad gas. If it had the fuel from about a year ago, drain the tank, and give it the good stuff.
Fuel that sits around, evaporates and produces a varnish, and that gets clogged in the filter, and pump.
Usually, after draining the tank, a couple gallons of the good stuff, and some say add seafoam, will help cure the problem. However if the tank is heavily varnished it may take dropping the tank again, and have it professionally cleaned.
