i had a rebuilt 408 in my 85' , after about 3,000 miles it seemed to lose a huge amount of power, the 351 in it right now seems to run strong with 40,000 miles on it, i just dont preffer the 408, but ill stay with my supercharged 306 for right now

i belive im going to go 347 becuz every thing is set up for one, and i have some much money in 302 parts , blocks can be found all over , and its lighter. Not saying that i dont wanttogo 408w tho, lol, and i dont belive the 351 swap is as easy as evey one *how has not done one* says it.
Isthe Tq of a 347 is about the same of a 408w
and i dont need much more that 450hp to the wheels for street/strip .

i got a 331, i didnt want to attempt the swap, but i want more power, so a turbo will be in my future but on stock block, i think im playing with fire...
